Chicago cops accused of using Taser on pregnant woman

A pregnant mother alleges a Chicago cop used a stun gun even though he knew she was expecting.
But police said Tiffany Rent, who is eight months pregnant and had her kids in the car, ripped up a parking ticket in a Walgreens pharmacy parking lot Tuesday, threw it in the officer’s face, and was warned she’d be stunned if she tried to drive away, the Chicago Tribune reports. Supt. Garry McCarthy told a news conference Wednesday the officer discharged a Taser through the window of her SUV when Rent put her car into gear.
The case is being investigated by the Independent Police Review Authority, McCarthy said.
