The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday reaffirmed its 2-year-old decision allowing corporations to spend freely to influence elections. The justices struck down a state of Montana law limiting corporate campaign spending.

By a 5-4 vote, the court’s conservative justices said the decision in the Citizens United case in 2010 applies to state campaign finance laws and guarantees corporate and labor union interests the right to spend freely to advocate for or against candidates for state and local offices.

    Hmmmm

So 80 of the stock is owned by 5% of the population. The richest 5% of course. In essence the Supreme Court has just reafirmed the right of the really rich to decide elections for the other 95%. This is democracy? I think what the court has done is put corporate facism front and center.

I would like to ask each and every one of you to ask your elected representatives at every level to kindly show us where exactly in the Constitution that corporations are granted any rights of any kind what so ever. Let alone super citizen rights. The US Constitution and the framers that wrote it went to great pains to specifically OMIT any mention of corporations in the Constitution or Bill of Rights. They did this because of the widely held belief both then and now that corporations are a direct threat to the Republic. On the other hand a totally corrupt Supreme court and an out of control phony Federal Banking system run by a banking mafia have all certainly has helped the Republic on its way to a rapidly approaching death.
