Mark of the Beast now available in Invisible to the eye INK?
The process developed by Somark involves a geometric array of micro-needles and an ink capsule, which is used to ‘tattoo’ an animal. The ink can be detected from 4 feet away.
A startup company developing chipless RFID ink has tested its product on cattle and laboratory rats.
Somark Innovations announced this week that it successfully tested biocompatible RFID ink, which can be read through animal hairs. The passive RFID technology could be used to identify and track cows to reduce financial losses from Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (mad cow disease) scares. Somark, which formed in 2005, is located at the Center for Emerging Technologies in St. Louis. The company is raising Series A equity financing and plans to license the technology to secondary markets, which could include laboratory animals, dogs, cats, prime cuts of meat, and military personnel.
Chief scientist Ramos Mays said the tests provide a true proof-of-principle and mitigate most of the technological risks in terms of the product’s performance. “This proves the ability to create a synthetic biometric or fake fingerprint with biocompatible, chipless RFID ink and read it through hair,” he said.
Co-founder Mark Pydynowski said during an interview Wednesday that the ink doesn’t contain any metals and can be either invisible or colored. He declined to say what is in the ink, but said he’s certain that it is 100% biocompatible and chemically inert. He also said it is safe for people and animals.
The process developed by Somark involves a geometric array of micro-needles and a reusable applicator with a one-time-use ink capsule. Pydynowski said it takes five to 10 seconds to “stamp or tattoo” an animal, and there is no need to remove the fur. The ink remains in the dermal layer, and a reader can detect it from 4 feet away.
“Conceptually, you can think of it in the same way that visible light is reflected by mirrors,” he said, adding that the actual process is slightly different and proprietary.
The amount of information contained in the ink depends on the surface area available, he said. The U.S. Department of Agriculture calls for a 15-digit number to track cattle. The first three digits are “840″ for the U.S. country code. The remaining digits are unique identifiers. The numbers would link to a database containing more information.

In HORRIBLE Landmark Corporate Campaign Finance Ruling, U.S. Supreme Court Removes Government Limits Ban On Corporate Campaign Spending

Jan. 21- A deeply divided Supreme Court struck down limits on corporate political spending, overturning two precedents and underscoring the impact of former President George W. Bush’s appointments to the court.
Writing for the court’s five conservatives, Justice Anthony Kennedy ruled that a central provision of the 2002 McCain-Feingold campaign finance act violated the First Amendment by restricting corporations from funding political messages in the run-up to elections.
“The government may regulate corporate political speech through disclaimer and disclosure requirements, but it may not suppress that speech altogether,” Justice Kennedy wrote in a 57-page opinion.
The very effort to sift permissible corporate political spending from that which violates the law chilled political speech, Justice Kennedy wrote.
The decision voids a key provision of the signature legislative achievement of Sen. John McCain, the 2008 Republican presidential nominee who partnered with Democratic Sen. Russ Feingold of Wisconsin to draft the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 which informally carries their names.
Obama confidant’s spine-chilling proposal

Jan. 15- Cass Sunstein has long been one of Barack Obama’s closest confidants. Often mentioned as a likely Obama nominee to the Supreme Court, Sunstein is currently Obama’s head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs where, among other things, he is responsible for “overseeing policies relating to privacy, information quality, and statistical programs.” In 2008, while at Harvard Law School, Sunstein co-wrote a truly pernicious paper proposing that the U.S. government employ teams of covert agents and pseudo-”independent” advocates to “cognitively infiltrate” online groups and websites — as well as other activist groups — which advocate views that Sunstein deems “false conspiracy theories” about the government. This would be designed to increase citizens’ faith in government officials and undermine the credibility of conspiracists. The paper’s abstract can be read, and the full paper downloaded, here.
Sunstein advocates that the government’s stealth infiltration should be accomplished by sending covert agents into “chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups.” He also proposes that the government make secret payments to so-called “independent” credible voices to bolster the government’s messaging (on the ground that those who don’t believe government sources will be more inclined to listen to those who appear independent while secretly acting on behalf of the government). This program would target those advocating false “conspiracy theories,” which they define to mean: “an attempt to explain an event or practice by reference to the machinations of powerful people, who have also managed to conceal their role.” Sunstein’s 2008 paper was flagged by this blogger, and then amplified in an excellent report by Raw Story’s Daniel Tencer.

UKRAINIAN SECRET SERVICES ARREST PANDEMIC BLOGGER

The Ukrainian Security Service, the SBU, — the Ukrainian government’s secret police — has arrested a 30-year-old man who reported on the unfolding pandemic in the country, specifically on 170 people being hospitalised, trains travelling through Tarnopol without stopping, planes carrying out disinfection missions at night time and the death of students at Tarnopol and Lviv.
The case has gone to court. If found guilty, the blogger can be sentenced to one month of forced labor, have a 20% salary deduction or be fined 15 times the minimum income.
The blogger was arrested for spreading “rumours and fearmongering” under special emergency laws the Ukrainian government is implementing under the pretext of fighting a pandemic.
According to Ukraine’s presidential decree and a decision by the Ukrainian National Security and Defence Board of 30 October 2009, the Ukrainian Security Service is to “provide national security during an outbreak of a flu pandemic in Ukraine in case of urgent actions.”

Pet cat in U.S. catches swine flu

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A cat in Iowa has tested positive for H1N1 swine flu, the first time a cat has been diagnosed with the new pandemic strain, the American Veterinary Medical Association said on Wednesday.
The 13-year-old cat apparently caught the virus from one of the people living in the house, the group said in a statement. It has recovered and does not appear to have infected anyone or anything else.
Pigs are the original source of the H1N1 virus and it has been found in several herds, as well as in a pet ferret. Ferrets are especially susceptible to human influenza viruses.
“Two of the three members of the family that owns the pet had suffered from influenza-like illness before the cat became ill,” Iowa Department of Public Health Veterinarian Dr. Ann Garvey said in a statement.
